Chief Ronny Beasley is the third fire chief for the La Vergne Fire and Rescue Department, joining the team in June of 2020. He comes to the department with more than 29 years of experience. He previously served with the Memphis Fire Department as the chief of training, division chief, battalion chief, and lieutenant. He has years of experience in special operations, from time spent on rescue companies and 17 deployments to Incidents of National Significance with Tennessee Task Force-1, a FEAM Urban Search and Rescue team. Beasley also serves as an instructor in the Managing Officer Program at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland.
Chief Beasley has a Master's Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Fire Administration. He is also credentialed as an Executive Fire Officer and Chief Fire Officer.
Chief Beasley's passion is sharing his experiences but, more importantly, learning from other people's experiences.
