As a transformational leader, Andrew Patton is known for creating a positive culture that allows employees to thrive and realize their full potential to the benefit of the entire organization. He appreciates how each person is uniquely motivated and uses this as the foundation for designing and implementing Human Resource (HR) practices, tools, and philosophies. Nashville based TKO President, Linda Klosterman-Kirpatrick says, “Andrew is one of those rare individuals who is the complete package - sharp, strategic thinker, inspiring leader and mentor, who promotes a positive team spirit.”
Patton has a diversified background in public service, corporate culture, the music and entertainment industry, and as an entrepreneur. As Director of Human Resources for the City of La Vergne, Tennessee, he is developing and implementing people-centered strategies, plans and programs in order to foster positive employee relations and serve the citizens of La Vergne.
Before accepting his current role, Patton worked in various HR roles with Amazon. As an Employee Relations (ER) investigator, he resolved associate cases from around the world. He also worked with a team to develop a unique program that allowed associates to perform light duty work with nonprofits while receiving workers’ compensation. He also supported 1,200 associates on a site-based HR team at a Nashville fulfillment center. “Andrew has an amazingly deep understanding of tasks and policies, and a level of ownership that surpasses his peers,” said Maura Rush, Operation Manager with Amazon.
After completing his bachelor's degree from Kent State University (OH), Patton received a MBA in Human Resource Management from Fitchburg State University (MA) and is accredited through the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Certification process. Patton also has continuing education credits from Harvard University (MA) and Cornell University (NY) and has been an adjunct faculty member at Trevecca Nazarene University (TN) and Bethel University (IN). Dr. Chris Coppernoll from Asbury University (KY) said, “Andrew’s work style is a blend of creativity, innovation, and drive that delivers above and beyond expectations. He values people and draws out their strengths for the success of the organization.”
Patton’s dedication to learning and acquiring new skills allowed him to build on over 25 years of executive leadership in the music and entertainment industry and expand his expertise into new fields. No matter what his role, he exhibits strong initiative, self-direction, and realizes results are only achieved with and through teamwork.
