Mayor Dennis Waldron announced the opening and ribbon-cutting of the recently completed road extension connecting Nir Shreibman Blvd. to David’s Way. This road will allow Lake Forest Subdivision, one of the largest subdivisions in Tennessee, to have more direct access to the roundabout which connects Nir Shreibman Blvd. to Murfreesboro Road. This extension is the last segment of a project that extends over several years and through previous La Vergne administrations.
This new extension will ease traffic congestion that can accumulate from a busy subdivision and a nearby elementary school. “We are proud to open this new extension which is vital infrastructure that will provide relief to motorists during peak traffic times,” said Mayor Waldron. City officials cut the ribbon alongside Amnon Shreibman, who donated the land in memory of his son Lt. Nir Shreibman. Lieutenant Shreibman was an Israeli soldier who was killed in a helicopter crash in 1997.
