The La Vergne Fire Rescue actively responds to fire related emergencies. LFRD currently has three Fire Houses with an additional administration office. LFRD has three battalions that work 24 hour shifts with 48 hours of off time. Three Shift Commanders rotate to supervise battalions as well as manage the daily operations of the department. Each station has a lieutenant that is responsible for company level operations.
LFRD operates a variety of different fire department apparatus including aerial devices, rescue squads and engine companies. LFRD also has multiple specialized units to assist in technical responses such as hazardous materials.
